Herb Roasted Crispy Skin Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole chicken thawed
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 1 t parsley
  • .5 t thyme
  • .25 t garlic powder
  • .5 t onion powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 lemon cut in half

Instructions
 

  • Pat the chicken dry with a tower or paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and spices.
  • Squeeze the juice of one half of the lemon into the melted spice butter, stirring well.
  • Using a basting brush, work the entire bowl of spiced butter onto the skin of your chicken, layering it as you go.
  • Place the other half of the lemon in the cavity of the chicken.
  • Place the chicken in a roasting pan and bake for 1.5-2 hours at 375 degrees.
