Finding the Best in Midwest Weekend Getaways
Granola and yogurt has been one of my most favorite combos in the past 6 months! Finding gluten free granola is harder than one might think, especially in a small town! So, I developed my own recipe to enjoy with my yogurt! I hope you enjoy this Gluten-Free Harvest Granola!
Winter is knocking at our doorstep here in the Midwest! This also means people traditionally think of this as the time to go away to a warmer place! We are lucky because we have so many options for great Winter Weekend Getaways here in Iowa and other Midwest states!
While the Midwest may not be the ideal vacation spot in the middle of winter for everyone, they do offer several spots that offer great accommodations, things to do, and awesome places to grab a bite to eat!
While everyone in the country is crazy over pumpkin all fall long, I’m all about the apples! I’ll create any recipe, adapt any recipe, and enjoy any recipe made with apples! This Gluten-Free Apple Crisp is perfectly fall!
I was diagnosed with a gluten allergy about a year ago! After undergoing several months of lab work, testing, and procedures, the allergy was finally found after I started breaking out in total body rashes! Since going completely gluten free, it’s amazing how much better I feel! My body is reacting to foods as it should be and I have my life back! YAY!

The Great River Road is a National Scenic Byway that travels along the Mississippi River from Itasca State Park near Park Rapids, Minnesota all the way south beyond New Orleans in Louisiana!
