COVID-19 has drastically changed my shopping habits. I honestly do as much as possible in our small town, but options are limited. The rest is typically done on Amazon, if possible. Everyone has their own opinions about Amazon but for me its the ease, no need to go to big stores with lots of people, and deal with crowds! Baking Christmas Treats
I grew up in a traditional home that always baked lots of Christmas treats to take to every holiday get-together! As I’ve been an adult, I’ve liked making a variety of treats, but time doesn’t always allow for it. So, now I like recipes that mix up and bake quickly.

I don’t know about you, but I love shopping in locally owned boutiques like Legion Room Loft! I’d much rather pay a few more dollars to find unique pieces and not fight crowds at big box stores! And what you’ll find at the brand new Legion Room Loft is definitely unique pieces at affordable prices! When I was offered a sneak peak at this new gem in Sheffield, I jumped at it!
Can you believe it’s just a little over a month until Christmas? It’s time for all bloggers around to compile their Christmas Lists for 2018! I decided this year to focus on my Direct Sales friends! A couple years ago I focused on local spots (and so many of them still stand), but if you’re like me, you want your Christmas gifts delivered to you! By purchasing from a direct sales representative, you’re not only getting your gifts delivered to you without having to leave your home, but also supporting a small business.
Direct Sales representatives are usually men and women providing for their families through the sales of products that they love! But, I digress (and you can read more about it here!) I reached out to some of my favorite direct sales consultants and companies to compile this Christmas List for 2018.

Things That Make Me Say “eh”
Not everyone is going to love every new product they try! And while none of the products I’ve purchased from Simply Nourished have been terrible, they all haven’t been my favorite! So, I thought I’d share the products that make me say “eh” first! This means, they weren’t terrible, but they aren’t my favorite.
I can’t believe another month has come and gone. I feel like I’ve blinked and February is upon us! Of course, that means talking about the things I’m loving right now!
February Brings…
For us, February brings several different things! Basketball is wrapping up this month and we get a few more nights at home until track season starts! T has to do some traveling for work! This is unusual, so an adjustment for us! Valentine’s Day, of course, will be celebrated! It also brings me the time to do some more experimenting in the kitchen and thinking about spring travels (fingers crossed)! Finally, it brings us to a new list of my favorite things and since February means getting more time in my kitchen, I decided that this month will be focused on my favorite kitchen tools and gadgets!

This month, I’m calling it my Direct Sales version! I’ve shared a few things from a few direct sales friends of mine that I love, but here are a few more! I truly love supporting as many direc sales consultants as possibl, as long as they provid me with outstanding customer service! Those that do, earn my business for life! I understand how how they work, and I understand what they are providing for their family, so I want to support them!

Rodan & Fields Body Lotion
I’m always on the hunt for a good quality body lotion and while I enjoy the “fun” scents from those body stores, my skin can’t handle it! I have incredibly sensitive skin with eczema, so I need something gentle and highly effective! I recently started using the Rodan & Feilds Body Lotion and I can’t praise it highly enough! It leaves my skin highly moisturizer, has no scent, and isn’t greasy AT ALL! My skin is instantly smooth and soft after applying!
Easton Scarf from Trades of Hope
Back in May, I talked about one of my favorite necklaces, the Sea Glass from Trades of Hope! Now, I’m raving about my Easton Scarf! I earned it recently by hosting a party with my favorite TOH consultant and I’m so glad that I did! It goes with just about everything and is my favorite colors! Plus, the fact that it’s supporting the women of India makes my heart even happier.
I know, I know…it’s been 5 months since you’ve seen one of these! Life happens! But, I’m back with a new edition of what I’m loving and these really are some of my absolute favorite things, so I hope you see something you might like too!
Leafy Style
When you love something you buy one in every color, right?! Well, I did just that with my current favorite necklace! Back in my first edition, in April, I talked about my favorite earrings, which are by Chloe & Isabel! Ironically, my favorite necklace is made by the same company! I had the silver version of this leaf necklace first and when my consultant, Mary, gave me the opportunity to buy the gold from her cash and carry stash, I jumped on it! These are unique pendants that add a little class to every outfit! My favorite thing about them is that the chain is connected directly to the pendant. It doesn’t slide around! It all stays put! I recommend getting one or both! 😉
June is here, school is done (or almost) and that mean summer is official upon us! It’s a new month, which also means it’s time for a new round of “What I’m Loving Right Now!” It’s interesting what I love each month (even for myself to discover). Some of it is material things and some of it is the intangible, but I think that is what gives our life balance!
Bed Sheets
Yup, you know you’re getting old when one of the things you’re loving right now is bed sheets, but I’m ok with it! T and I have a love/hate relationship with bed sheets! He’s pickier than I am, but I digress. Back at Christmas, we asked for gift cards to Kohls to purchase new sheets (how grown-up of us, right?!) and we finally used the card when we discovered that our favorite sheets had a hole in them! What sheets did I pick up and am now loving?! It’s these, the SONOMA Goods for Life, Everyday Sheet Set from Kohls!
I hate spending a lot of money on sheets and when you have a king size bed, they are spendy enough as it is. I find these to be a perfect combination of quality and comfort! They are great for heading into the warmer months as they keep that “cool” feeling, but also aren’t cold to the touch like the rest of our sheets! I also like them because they aren’t too slinky feeling like some of the super soft sets. These have some substance to their fabric and I like that! Plus, the fitted sheet has elastic around the entire thing! Bonus to keeping the sheets on the mattress! If you’re shopping for new sheets, I highly recommend them!
