Can you believe two weeks have passed since the last garden update?! We went on our family vacation, the county fair is over, and I’ve been busy with meetings and training’s for work! I feel like I just blinked and two weeks were over!
Like I said, we went on our family vacation and enjoyed 5 days in Branson again! I do promise there will be some posts coming about that when I get some time to breathe, but here’s a sneak peak at the highlight of the trip for me!
Yup, that’s me parasailing! Parasailing is something that I’ve always wanted to do and I discovered that you could do it on Table Rock Lake, so T made sure that it happened for me and it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done! It literally took my breath away (in a good way) and I can’t wait to do it again!
The Vegetable Garden
When I gave you the garden update a few weeks ago, I featured the lilies, so it’s been awhile since you’ve seen the vegetable garden! We couldn’t believe how much it had grown and changed while we were on vacation! The green beans have produced fruitfully (although my mom got to enjoy the majority of those because they were prime producing while we were on vacation!). We’ll actually be tearing up what we have and replanting for a fall batch this week!
I gathered my first cucumbers this weekend (about 7 of them) and haven’ gotten a few more strawberries! We are trying watermelons this year and from the looks of it, we’re doing OK! We probably have about 10 (at least) currently growing, so as long as we can keep the bugs out of them and the bottoms from rotting, we’ll have lots of that! Our tomatoes have also put on and are slowly growing and the carrots and onions continue to thrive!
The Flowers
My lilies continue to bloom like crazy and I didn’t share any pictures here, so if you’re missing them make sure to follow my Facebook page or Instagram page as that’s where I share lots of flower pictures!
My wild bed is a wide array of flowers and colors! The day lilies are in full bloom right now and their bold colors make me happy!
My phlox are on fire and this is another “wild bed” that has very few blooming plants, but the phlox are gorgeous!
The marigolds around our sign have filled in quite nicely and look great!
Check out how the succulent in my boot pot has grown! It’s started putting on very small little flowers at the bottom!
My window boxes are slowly filling in! I love the drastic difference in colors, but will admit that I am disappointed that the fuchsias have not filled in more than they have!
Well, that’s it for this garden update! I hope you’ve enjoyed it and that your gardens are looking great as well! Have a great week!
Your garden looks beautiful!
Thank you Jeni!! ?
