A Trip to Nowhere: A COVID-19 Update

A Trip to Nowhere: A COVID-19 Update

We (those of us in Iowa) are officially a full week “in” this COVID-19 mess and on a Trip to Nowhere! What is a travel blogger to do?! It’s a new and weird situation we find ourselves in. I thought I’d just share a brief update of where things are in my world and how it’s affected the Flints so far!

Life Changes

How has COVID-19 changed our lives. Well, both boys are home. M’s high school has suspended classes until mid-April. R’s college has dismissed students from campus and they are completing their spring classes online. So, our grocery bill has definitely taken a jump, but that’s ok! I love having them around more! Track for R has been cancelled and M’s season is on hold until school resumes. It certainly has freed up my schedule in April.

You can keep busy visiting the many museums, eating great food, explore the HarborMarket, and more! But, personally, we think enjoying the Beach, Burgers, & Boats is the way to go!

Garden Update – June 3rd, 2019

Garden Update – June 3rd, 2019

If you’ve followed me for several years, you know by now we’re usually on our 2nd or 3rd Garden Update of the season! Please don’t be a hater and certainly don’t think that I’ve given up gardening. We can blame a very cold and wet spring combined with lots of track and graduation events. Spring got away from me and I was very late getting anything planted, but don’t worry, we’re finally making progress…kinda! 🙂

An Update

Life has gotten busy!  T and I got to take a weekend away to New Ulm (post coming soon), baseball season is officially over for M, R is crazy busy working and getting ready for his senior year!  In the next couple weeks, things will get even crazier and I continue to find my flower gardens to be my sanctuary in the crazy of life!
