Wicked Plaid Wax Co: A Review

Many years ago, T “outlawed” me from burning candles in our house!  Thank goodness for Wicked Plaid Wax Co.

After I left a few candles burning while we were gone or after we had gone to bed, T told me to find a different way to have “smelly’s” in the house because candles were a “no go” anymore!  While I totally understood and am thankful that I didn’t burn the house down, I started experiencing and testing several different melt companies from the kind you find in a department store to about every direct sales company!  So, when I was recently introduced to Wicked Plaid Wax Co, I was excited to give them a try!

Wicked Plaid Wax

Gina Cox of central Iowa started Wicked Plaid Wax Co in her home (and still formulates and pours there) back in February of 2017.  She was tired of purchasing overpriced candles and decided to start pouring her own made 100% of soy wax and never using artificial dye.  Things have grown since then and then rest is history!

Gina offers several different options for whatever your need may be, including: 1 and 2 ounce scent shots, 1/2 ounce bear shaped scent shot (a pack of two), two ounce breakaway bars (you can select how much you need), 1 ounce gem shaped scent shot, and 1/2 ounce square scent shots (pack of 2).  You can also select from over 60 different scents!  She has a scent for everyone from Apple Streusel to Citronella to Tarocco Orange and everything in between!.

The best part?!  Wicked Plaid Wax Co is SUPER affordable!  Every single scent shot is only $1.25 or you can select a sample pack for only $11.25!

My Review

After having tried several different scents set to me from Gina, I’ve determined that I really like Wicked Plaid Wax Co.  Her scents are rich and yet mild at the same time!  Sometimes scented waxes can be overpowering, but these are a well scented, but not overbearing!  They give my whole house a light fragrance that we found to be very enjoyable!

Of all the scents that Gina sent for me to try out, the citrus ones were by far our favorite!  The Bergamot made my mouth water.  Lemon Verbena made my entire house smell fresh and light in the midst of a hot summer!

Conclusion

Scent Shots (melts) that are hand-poured and not made with any artificial colors are where it’s at!  Plus, I love supporting small, locally owned businesses!  I strongly recommend giving Wicked Plaid Wax Co a try if you’re a “melter”!  I know I’ll be placing an order very soon and recommend you do the same! 🙂

Wicked Plaid Wax Co provided me with a variety of scent shots to sample for my review, but all thoughts & opinions are 100% my own.  Please see the Disclosure Tab for more details!
