The Perfect Accommodations in

The first part of planning your relaxing vacation of course, is finding the perfect place to stay. Accommodations can make or break a trip! Thankfully, options are abundant in the Florida Keys. With stays at resorts like Oceans Edge Key West Resort, Hotel, Marina or The Gates Hotel Key West, there will be plenty of opportunities to relax on the beach or by the pool. Ocean’s Edge caught my eye with their array of activities and complimentary shuttle downtown!  If you’re headed to escape the kids check out The Southernmost Inn for an adults only experience. They offer three pools and 2 beaches, plus a variety of dinning options, so leaving isn’t necessary. Nothing describes relaxing more than having everything in one spot!

Enjoy a Spa Experience

I don’t know about you, but I love to relax and unwind by experiencing a spa treatment. A facial, massage, mani & pedi can make me feel like a million bucks again! Thankfully Key West has plenty of options to pamper you. Options like Ocean Wellness Spa & Salon, The Spa at Sunset Key, and the Spa at Pier House are bound to be your solutions to truly relax and unwind.

Stroll Duval Street

Whether you are a window shopper or a hard core shopper Key West has just the thing for you. Strolling Duval Street in Old Town is a great way to spend some time relaxing. Jam packed full of retail shops, restaurants, bars, and more you are bound to find something to enjoy! For me, grabbing an iced coffee from a local coffee shop like Keys Coffee Co or Cuban Coffee Queen just adds to the enjoyment!

Don’t worry about getting around. The island is quite small with plenty of transportation options. Bike rentals, taxis, or even a trolley tour are available!

Relax on the Beach

Of course, no trip to Key West is complete without some beach time! Thankfully, there are several public beaches if you choose a resort or hotel not situated directly on one. Smathers Beach is the largest of all the public beaches and also offers showers, jet ski rentals, and more. Higgs Beach is a smaller, more intimate beach with a pier and historic aspects.
