It’s been way too long! Somehow I lost a week in there and it’s actually been three weeks since I gave a garden update! But, here it is!
An Update
Life has gotten busy! T and I got to take a weekend away to New Ulm (post coming soon), baseball season is officially over for M, R is crazy busy working and getting ready for his senior year! In the next couple weeks, things will get even crazier and I continue to find my flower gardens to be my sanctuary in the crazy of life!
The Flowers
My flower boxes look better than ever! I can’t believe how they have filled in this year better than ever! The Dragon-Winged Begonias are thriving in this hot and sunny weather and the Bacopa’s are growing like crazy!
The other flower box is looking good, for once, with the Impatients in it!
My raised beds are doing great! The Fireworks grass is taking over one of them! In fact, it’s beginning to take over the other flowers! And, if you look at the plant on the far left, you’ll see that it looks like it’s been chopped off more so than the others…I have Nike to thank for that! She seems to find this grass rather tasty! 🙂
I’m loving the Strawberry Banana Lantana’s in the other raised bed too! The color is so vibrant!
And of course, we can’t forget my lily bed! I’ve shared many of their blooms on my Facebook page and Instagram account over the last several weeks and here is what they are looking like right now! I’m in love with them more every day!
The Vegetable Garden
T’s vegetable garden is looking great considering how wet the spring was and how late we got it planted! We’ve got onions, cucumbers, cantaloupes, tomatoes, and green beans growing like crazy! Oh, the green beans. They never seem to end right now! We have actually started canning for the winter already!
I’ve also enjoyed a handful of grape tomatoes off the plant potted on my deck! And, we had our first sunflower bloom over the weekend! I can’t wait till more come!
Well, that’s it for this update! I hope you enjoyed it! I can’t wait to see what the next couple weeks brings! Come back then!
Your lilies are beautiful, where do you purchase them from?
I purchase them from all over! Bulbs from catalogs and plants from local greenhouses!
Love your lantana!
Thanks!!! It’s so fun and vibrant!
Your lilies are spectacular. I used to love having pretty flowers but I can’t keep up with spraying against the deer and bunnies here so I have basically given up on almost everything but lenten rose which they don’t touch. All the other deer resistant plants are apparently not deer resistant to “my ” deer. So I love to see any garden pictures. You definitely have a green thumb!
Thank you sweet lady!! I do love Lenten roses too, but don’t have any!!!
