Legion Room Loft – A Boutique in Sheffield, Iowa

I don’t know about you, but I love shopping in locally owned boutiques like Legion Room Loft!  I’d much rather pay a few more dollars to find unique pieces and not fight crowds at big box stores!  And what you’ll find at the brand new Legion Room Loft is definitely unique pieces at affordable prices! When I was offered a sneak peak at this new gem in Sheffield, I jumped at it!  

Rehabbing City Hall

Grass doesn’t grow under Holly Coffee’s feet!  Her brain and energy make us all look lazy!  Thankfully for us in North Iowa, she has some of the very best ideas! Over 2 years ago, she and her husband Randy purchased the old Sheffield City Hall.  Built in 1921, it served as city hall, community gymnasium, library, city museum, and police department from it’s opening until the late 1990’s.  The city had sold it back in 2000 to a private buyer who used it as a residence for the next 15+ years. 

Coffee’s decided to buy the historical building in 2016.  They really didn’t know what they were going to do with it at that point, but started rehabbing it.  In April of 2017, they opened the doors of Block 10 at 1921 City Hall…a coffee shop and restaurant!  Read more about that part by clicking HERE!  

Opening Legion Room Loft

Coffee, who used to own and operate a vintage and new home decor shop called Chapin Station decided in the summer of this past year that it was time to utilize more space at Block 10 and decided to dive into owning a boutique. She also saw a need in the town of Sheffield of needing an option for clothing! She also decided to preserve the history of the building in the name! The portion of the building that the loft boutique now houses used to be the meeting room of the American Legion groups in Sheffield!

While Holly has always specialized in home decor she decided to expand and include women’s clothing! Luck for all of us, she clearly has an eye for it! Not only has she stocked her new loft boutique with adorable tops for all age ranges (teens through women), she’s included plus-sized items, and even maternity!!

Whether you’re in the market for a new top or sweater or some amazing home decor, you’ll enjoy browsing and visiting Legion Room Loft!
