My Christmas List

I said I wasn’t going to do it! I kind of laughed at those people who did it, but here I am doing it! I’m going to share with you my list of businesses that we are going to be using for Christmas shopping this year!

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for small, locally owned businesses since I used to manage one and that feeling towards them and wanting them to succeed is still near and dear to my heart! But, it was actually T who said to me…”I want to do as much Christmas shopping locally as possible” and I couldn’t have been more excited!!  So, here are my favorite local places to buy Christmas presents…and if you live in North Iowa, I would recommend you give them a try…and if you don’t live here, you need to road trip here! 🙂

West Fork Wharf –

This restaurant located in Sheffield, Iowa  puts a capital D on Delicious!  From burgers to steaks to the fresh Bruschetta (YUM!), you can’t go wrong and we love to give gift certificates to this establishment!  Need a location for your company Christmas party or a New Year’s Eve get-together!  They can accommodate all size groups!

Got You Covered –

This shop in Hampton is our favorite place to collect spirit wear for our school district!  They have a wide variety of items, can special order anything you’d like, and have logos for all the surrounding school districts!  And, it’s not just shirts or jackets…you can also get blankets, stadium seats, socks, hair ties, and much more!

The Wood Cellar – 

Ok, you can Christmas shop for others here because they have a wide variety of home decor…from tableware to candles to melters to decorations!  BUT…this is my favorite place to come to purchase new decorations for my home!  I love the Christmas and holiday decorations they carry (along with the decorations for all season!)  I often ask for a gift certificate so I can splurge without dampening my budget!!

Christensen’s Jewelry

This shop in Hampton offers a wide variety of jewelry and also gift-ware.  They carry crystal

tableware, candles, gifts for babies, and more!  They also carry jewelry for every budget, from costume jewelry to 4 carat diamonds, they’ve got it all and everything in between!

Forever Yours –

Everyone loves have fresh flowers around a holiday or even a Poinsettia at Christmas time and I choose to buy mine at Forever Yours in Sheffield!  I don’t know what they do to their fresh cut flowers, but they last forever!!  And, they custom make anything, plus you can pick up some last minute gift items while you pick up your flowers (Last year I picked up several stocking stuffers from their gift selections!)

Rustic Brew –

It doesn’t matter whether you’re in the mood for coffee, lunch, or a beer; Rustic Brew has you covered.  They open early in the day for coffee, muffins and scones, provide a full lunch menu, and have their own microbrewery to boot!  Frequently they offer special live music on Friday nights and do special dinner for holidays like Valentine’s Day!  Swing by and grab a gift certificate or a hand-warming mug for the coffee lover on your list!

Windsor Theater – 

Small town theaters are rare anymore and big-city ones are expensive!  That’s why the historic Windsor Theater makes my list of places to shop locally!  Windsor bucks are sure to be a hit with those movie lovers you need to buy for!  Reasonably (almost cheaply) priced, delicious popcorn, and hometown kindness from employees makes this a gem in our community!

Pralle’s Wash City – 

With 3 convenient locations in the county, your car won’t be dirty for long.  Tokens for a car wash are great stocking stuffers for anyone with a car or truck!
