Welcome to the 2nd edition of Random Monday Thoughts…

1. The Social Media Community is unlike any other! This past weekend I attended the Midwest Social Media Summit in Mason City and it was fantastic!  Not only did a learn a ton, got the privilege to be one of the speakers, but I also got to see many of my North Iowa Bloggers, AND meet new people.  The social media community is probably more friendly than any other community I’ve been involved in!  Thank you to the organizers for including me and I can’t wait to attend tomorrow!

   

2. Football season is over.  Well, at least it’s over for R & M.  Part of me is happy (the part that is excited to stay home all day on Sunday’s especially and not have so many days that we have to be on the go), but the other part of me is REALLY sad.  Sad because I love watching the boys play and sad because that means there are only 3 more years to watch R and I can’t think about that!  *tear*
3. Laundry is NEVER done!  Right moms and step-moms?  I do roughly 7-9 loads a weekend and yet the baskets are still never empty!  Where does it all come from???
4. Date nights and good conversation rock!  Saturday night, after being at the SMS (see #1) all day, T and I had date night.  Nothing fancy, just dinner at Pakoda’s Steakhouse and then getting groceries (romantic, I know), but we still had such a good time.  Getting to sit down with your spouse and just talk about everything and anything without being interrupted by a child, a dog, or chores is a gift in itself and it always rejuvenates me!
5. Who cares if my house isn’t clean! Recently on Facebook I saw one of those cleaning charts that make it “soo easy” to keep a clean house!  HA!  They obviously don’t work 9+ hour days outside the home and have football games, etc to attend!  But, you know what?  I don’t care!  Who cares if my house isn’t spic and span and perfectly picked up!  My family is warm, happy, fed, and cared for and to me that is what matters most!!
