Wow! What a wonderful long weekend!! I hope you got to enjoy Thanksgiving and the long weekend with people who love! I know I sure did!! What did you love about this past long-holiday weekend? What are you loving about the upcoming week? That’s the focus of my Random Monday Thoughts today!
1. Food – Food is good, right? It takes good on our palate, it nourishes our body and gives us energy and strength! It has emotional ties! This past weekend some of the food I enjoyed the most was my FIL’s mashed potatoes and gravy (literally the best) and my mom’s stuffing! YUM! What food did you enjoy?
2. Weddings – We got the privilege of going to two weddings this past weekend (same day and everything). Weddings make me happy for several reasons. You get to see people you don’t see often, I love the hope and the promise that the day brings to the happy couple, and it makes me reminisce of mine and T’s wedding and how it was the best decision of my life!
3. Time with family – it doesn’t matter whether it was time with my three guys here at home, time with T’s family or mine…overall, time with family is spectacular and should never be taken for granted because you never know when it’s going to end!
4. Sleeping In – let’s be honest, one of the best things about long holiday weekends is sleeping in, right? Sleeping in for me means anytime after 6:30AM as my alarm goes off at 5AM every week day! I love being able to leisurely get up and drink coffee instead of running out the door to workout and then to work!
5. Basketball Season – basketball season starts tomorrow for R and I’m so excited. Basketball is his #1 passion and I can’t wait to see how he has grown and developed in the past year!!
Have a great week!!
Sounds like the perfect list to me! Perfect!
Thank you!i think so…even though mother nature prohibited basketball from happening tonight!
A wonderful list of blessings indeed! Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgivings!
Thank you!
Have you written about the mashed potatoes before? What’s her secret?
Nope, never have. I don’t know what the secret is. I’ll have to ask my Father in Law at Christmas…he does all the cooking!
