The other day I was prepping for my Wordless Wednesday post and I couldn’t help but think that I needed to post a picture of the one aspect of my life that has been left out thus far, my fur baby Nike! She is a mamma’s girl and I don’t know what I would do without her. She truly is a part of our family. We are each others companions.
What I Give Her:
- Food
- Water
- Walks/Runs
- Kisses, cuddles, & lots of petting
- A warm cozy house to sleep in
What She Gives Me:
- Kisses
- Cuddles
- Complete & Unconditional Love
- A companion for my early morning runs & walks
- Complete & Unconditional Love
- Complete Adoration
- My assistant in the kitchen (of course this may be because she’s led by her belly)

Ok, so maybe the list of what she gives me has some repeats on it, but it’s all true. Growing up we always had dogs outside, on the farm, so I never knew the kind of connection that I have with Ms. Nike Lou. I’ve told T repeatedly that when something happens to her he’s going to have
to get me meds and he laughs…I’m serious. While my husband is my best friend and my mom is a close second, this furry little girl of mine is my best friend on a different level. She knows when I just need some snuggles and love. She knows when I need kisses and attention. She really did fill a void in my life that I didn’t even know existed. I guess that’s all part of Learning As I Go!

She is so adorable!! I hope she’s fully recovered. I always hated the word, “mommy,” but find that I totally call myself our dog’s mommy.
