To All the Moms in My Life….Happy Mother’s Day

It’s Mother’s Day and I’ve got a lot of Moms in my life! How lucky am I?!  I have my biological mom, a step-mom, two mother-in-laws, friends moms who have been like second (or third or fourth) moms in my life, and of course the mom of my amazing step-sons!  I thought it was appropriate today to give them all a shout out!

Thank You

To the mother of my step-sons, thank you!  Thank you for everything you do for the boys!  They are amazing young men and you’ve played a major role in that.  Thank you for allowing them to be a part of their lives.  I know it hasn’t been easy, but I hope you know that I love them with everything in me and want nothing but their health and happiness.  So, thank you for letting me know them, I am a better person because of them!

To the moms of my girlfriends, thank you!  Thank you for raising amazing women!  I know we don’t see each other as much as we used to, but you are always on my mind!  Thank you for raising women who fill a need in my life!  I have so much respect for you all and I hope your daughters know what amazing women you are!

Thank you to my mother in law.  Thank you for entrusting your son and grandsons to me!  I love them more than anything and my world is them!  I’m so grateful for having to gotten to know you over the past 7 years! I know I can always count on a hug when I see you and I can never have enough hugs!  Thank you for teaching your son the things you did!  He’s an amazing man and I’m often humbled by the fact that he chose me!

Thank you to my Step-Mom

To my step-mom, THANK YOU!  I was blessed the moment you came into my life!  I remember telling dad the first time I met you that if he decided it wasn’t going to work out with you two, that I was keeping you and getting rid of him!  Of course, I was only kidding (kinda), but I’m so glad you’re here!  You are an amazing woman with the biggest heart!  I tell everyone I meet that I have an awesome step-mom and it’s always true!  Thank you for everything you have done for me over the last 10 years and for loving me!  Thank you for welcoming my guys into our family and loving them as your own!  I hope you know how much I love you and what an important role you play in our family!

My Mom, My Best Friend

To my mom, where do I even start?!  Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it.  From the day I was born, I’ve always known that you’ve loved me!  You truly have been my biggest fan, supporter, confidant, and best friend from day one.  Growing up, you had high expectations for us, but only because you believed in us.  You also were the first person to cheer us on when we accomplished something, big or small!  Now, that I’m grown with a family of my own, I’m more thankful than ever for everything you did for us.  You taught me to work hard, don’t back down, and go after what I want!  You taught me to be soft and vulnerable and strong at the same time! Responsible and trustworthy are traits you instilled in me.  You taught me to laugh at life and trust God.

Thank you for everything you did for me growing up and everything you continue to do for me and my family!  You truly are a blessing to us and we appreciate everything you do for us!  My life is better because of you.  Not just because you help me when things are crazy, but by always being there, no matter what!  My world is better by having your heart in it!  I love you more than you will ever know.
