Share Your World 2015: Week 4

Well, it’s Sunday which is technically the first day of the week, but always feels like the last day of the week and another crazy week at that! So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise anymore that I seem to get these out really late in the week, but I still love doing them, so…here is my part of Cee’s Photography Share Your World campaign!

1.  Where did you live at age five?  Is it the same place or town you live now?  I lived on a farm in rural North Iowa, near the town of Hampton.  Now, I live in Hampton.  The farm still stands, but is unoccupied and falling into disarray.  We lived there because my dad worked for the farmer who owned the land and the acerage.  We lived in several houses after that before I was on my own.

2.  You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?  Well, are they fascinating because they are war veterans, people who have done great things or members of the mob? 😉  I think I would probably go.  I’m usually brave when it comes to things like this, so I’d give it a whirl, but make sure I had an out in case I was uncomfortable.

3.  DId you grow up in a small or big town?  Did you like it? Definitely small!  There isn’t anything big about the area that I live in.  I love it. I feel like it’s just the right size.  Not too small that we don’t have the ammenities that we need, but big enough that you don’t know every single person.

4.  As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up  Well, my mother tells me that I wanted to be a nurse when I was really young because my theory was that I could go to work with her!  But, I wanted to be a teacher for the majority of my life.  My BIG dreams were to be a broadway star or a singer.  I also always knew that I wanted to be a wife and a parent….little did I know what God had planned for me in those arenas, but I’m sure glad he did.

Bonus Question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  I’m grateful for my Friday night at home with T and then our night out at the Chamber Annual Dinner!  I was honored as the Chamber Volunteer of the Year and I’m so humbled.  I’m sooooo looking forward to supper this week with Beth Ann from It’s Just Life!  I haven’t seen her in several months and miss her desparately!
