Share Your World 2015, Week 5

Another week of great questions from Cee at Cee’s Photography and I am committed to NOT posting them on the last day of the week or the first day of the following week!  So, here I go!  WOOHOO!

Do you prefer shopping or going to a park? Honestly, it depends.  I love shopping with my mom and best friend because it gives us time to talk, be silly and creative.  I also love shopping with T because we seem to view the world differently than most people around us and our humor is so alike that we end up spending most of the time laughing!  Now, that being said, I also love to go to parks, especially if it’s camping with my three guys.  It’s so relaxing and invigorating that you can’t help but love the time you spend there!  I wrote a short blog one time about our love for camping together, you can find it HERE!

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why? I would definitely be a running shoe!  First off, we all know that

I love to run, which I do for the “health of it”!  But, I also feel like most of my life is spent running from here to there, so it’s also tongue in cheek.  Finally, I must be a tennis shoe/running shoe because they are the most comfortable of shoes out there!

What’s the story behind a time when you got locked out? Hmm….I don’t know if I’ve ever been locked out of my house because people around me have always had a second key, so it wasn’t a big deal.  But, last year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving I locked myself out of my car…in the Fareway (grocery store) parking lot, with all my groceries inside of it.   It had been a long couple of days with working a 12+ hour day on Black Friday and then another 8 hours on Saturday.  T was out of town with the boys at a family dinner (that I was missing).  Now, let me preface this with we had two Ford vehicles at the time who had the same key fobs.  I went into Fareway and came out with my groceries, put the key in the ignition and it wouldn’t turn.  I took it out, put it back in and it still wouldn’t work.  I called T and he told me to try a few things…it still wouldn’t work.  He then told me to get out and lock the car and unlock it and try it again.  The car wouldn’t unlock.  It was at that moment that I realized I had the keys to our truck, not my car.  Ugh!!!  I instantly started crying!  I was so exhausted and frustrated.  I called my mom, crying….she left her family get-together, came and picked me up at Fareway, drove me home to get the extra key and then back to Fareway.  I was so grateful to her and so happy we had an extra key at home!

Do you prefer eating foods with nuts or no nuts? It depends on what it is.  It also depends on what kind of nuts it is.  Almonds, peanuts, pistachios, cashews, and sunflower hearts are acceptable to me, but the rest of nuts, I’ll pass!

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  I’m grateful for little things like my mom texting me saying that she’s made meringue kisses and has some extra for me!  I’ve always loved them and the fact that still she is doing little things like this for me….that is what a momma’s love is!  What am I looking forward to?  Ugh, I’m not sure honestly!  Is that so sad?  The thing I was looking forward to, I already got to do, which was having supper with Beth Ann of It’s Just Life!  It was such a great time!  I feel a special connection to her.  I’m not sure if it’s the fact that she’s raised two boys and I’m raising two right now, or what but we are definitely kindred spirirts!!

  1. Tuesday was definitely my favorite day this week as well because I got to see my Katy! Thanks for making the time for our dinner out! I love that your mom makes a few extra “kisses” for you—that is what any mom would do,right? Have a great day!
